Post subject:  IRCA 111 to Breckenridge

Not sure just when this happened, but former International Railways of Central America 2-8-0 111 has been moved to Breckenridge, Colorado, to join the White Pass & Yukon rotary snowplow and two Colorado & Southern replica boxcars there. The locomotive was acquired by Colorado collector Don Drawer in the 1970s, at the same time Georgetown Loop's 40 was obtained. Drawer laid track on his property east of Fort Lupton, Colorado and steamed the engine a time or two, but his Sundown & Southern Railroad never really got off the ground. The equipment lay derelict until last year, when it was auctioned off by his heirs. After purchase by Breckenridge, the engine was shipped to Strasburg, Colorado for cosmetic restoration by the Uhrich Locomotive Co.
