I understand we will have limited operation to the South Portal of the Tunnel this week-end. As always, for current operating information, please call 570-963-6590 Track repairs are continuing. For everybody's information, the Laurel Line parallels Stafford Meadow Brook from "Virginia" to the tunnel with several bridges and a retaining wall. The Brook washed away a culvert near the tunnel, and downstream from the trolley line, opened a huge hole in the street at Pittston Ave and Brook St. in South Scranton. The hole doesn't affect trolley operation but serves as an example of the force of the flood. |
