We have been contacted by someone having a Wabash steam loco bell with a ringer mechanism on it made by Indianapolis. At least is says that cast on one side and "TRAN DEVICES" on the other side. We don't have any of these on any of our locomotives and have no literature on it as well. This make is not listed in any Locomotive Dictionary/Cyclopedia we have checked. He is trying to repair it and is looking for guidance, literature, etc. Does anyone have anything that might help? We have two photos he sent us if a scan would help. The bell was a front mount on top of the smokebox door. |
