A very nice gentleman I met at ARM this year sent me a copy of some pages showing that two Savannah single truck Birney bodies were resting on two each archbar trucks with a radiator under the front window. <p>Apparently these were most of the rolling stock of the Collins and Glenville RR, a picturesque GA shortline running through the cotton, onion, and fruitcake fields near Claxton and Vidalia (and Ludivico). <p>The line is said to have been abandoned in 1941 - any idea as to disposition of these cars? My assumption is we shot them at Japan, but would be nice if one is rusting in a barn somewhere. <p>Dave<p><br> lathro19@idt.net |
