Who owns this car? http://naphotos.nerail.org/showpic/?pho ... 516078.jpg There's another one behind it, #1962. Both are obviously Erie-Lackawanna electric MU cars, but who owns them now and painted them up in PRR colors? Thanks. |

Frank, I don't think those are ex-MU cars, the clerestory roof is too high. They look more like H&H or Bethleham Steel commuter/branch line coaches to me. |

Lackawanna used a number of rebuilt locomotive-hauled coaches in the electrification; here's a photo of a similar car to the one in the photo: http://gelwood.railfan.net/el/mu/el-m3333ajh.jpg These high-roof cars made up a large part of the MU trailer fleet; some of the trailers and all of the motor cars had lower roofs. |

I believe these are the cars owned by Jeff Pontius, Vice President - Operations, of the North Shore Railroad (Northumberland, PA). I have been aboard some of Jeff's cars and they are in beautiful condition, both inside and out. Alan Maples |
