Fundraising effort to replace ties on this 15" gauge minature line in Wisconsin: Riverside & Great Northern Railway is undertaking a $50,000 capital campaign to upgrade our roadbed. Key to this project is the Buy a Tie program, where our goal is to replace 6,000 wooden railroad ties with new high-strength plastic ties that have a life span of over 50 years. For $100 donation, your name will be engraved in a tie used in the roadbed rehabilitation. Make a lasting mark and preserve railroad history in the process. Makes a great gift.
