From the NERAIL list, the latest report on progress at the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington in Maine. Wonder what the people who watched the line die in the 1930s would think?

Day 1 of the WW&F Track laying weekend:

There was a crew of about 20 or so by the end of the day. 180 feet of
track was spiked to the north end of the main line (about where the
north switch begins for the Alna Center run-around track) and another
100 or so feet of ties were extended further along. The crew also
shoveled gravel off the flatcar for the southern end of the siding. At
the end of the day a crew was working to assemble the southern switch.

3 more days of great weather is forecasted - do come out and assist if
you can.
