Some real impressive live steam photos and videos here: http://www.livesteaming.com/mainframe.html Minature live steam locomotives were once fairly crude representations of their prototypes, but have since evolved so now it is sometimes hard to tell a closeup photo from the real thing. Despite their goofy "grown man atop a toy train" image, the live steamers who build their own locomotives are among the most skilled craftsmen alive. Plenty of their work on the site above, including Garratts, Challengers, Big Boys, Daylights, etc.. |
