Before it moved down to Winnipeg to pull excursions on the Prairie Dog Central, this ex-CPR 4-4-0 operated occasionally as backup power for Winnipeg Hydro, on a short line that (I think) was isolated from other rails. Last I heard, it was getting a new boiler. This photo taken in the summer of 1961.

Your right, before being rescued by the Vintage Locomotive Society, the locomotive was Winnipeg Hydro No 3. At the present time the locomotive is undergoing a major overhaul, complete with a new boiler. In the locomotives absence, Prairie Dog Central trains are being hauled by either a an S3 or a GP7.
