Trainorders report indicating China Rail is rebuilding a KD6 (USATC 2-8-0) for proposed excursion service.

Saw many of these in service around Shanghai & Hangzhou in the 1980s. This news is quite a revelation. While the Chinese have preserved some steam in museums, the idea of steam tourist trains has yet to get off the ground.
