It was with pleasure I opened my usual batch of mostly throw-away press releases at the newspaper today, and noticed NCDOT's annual allocation of enhancement monies. Among some I'm please to see are $135.5k to redo ACL 250 in wilmington; $124k to redo an ex-SR combine at NCTM for a disabled passenger car; and $527.7k to take fayettevile's Cape Fear & Yadkin Valley depot and turn it into a visitors center/museum.<p>There's a bunch more in there, but all I can say as a NC resident is that it sure is nice to see it happening. <br> Wrinbo@aol.com |
