Post subject:  Familiar building

We go by this magnificent building at Lacolle, QC every trip, and set out and pickup cars on the closest track. It is in pretty sad shape today, but securely boarded up, with steel plates recently installed on the windows. CP maintenance people use one room as a crude lunchroom. This was the headquarters building of the Napierville Junction Railway, a Delaware & Hudson subsidiary between the border and Delson, QC, with rights into Montreal. Amtrak's Adirondack no longer uses this track, turning onto CN's Rouses Point sub at Rouses Point, NY, about five miles south of here.
