Since the article mentions both the Tri-Cities Historical Museum and Chinook Pier I'm assuming the article is about the GT Depot in Grand Haven, not the Depot in Muskegon. See the link for pictures:

Either I have forgotten how to read or the article doesn't say what city. The museum mentioned is in the GTW dpot in Grand Haven and Chinook Pier is also in Grand Haven. Both cities were served by the GTW so if you are not familiar with the area its easy to think that the article was about Muskegon.

There was a GT depot in muskegon. For some time it was being used by the Western Michigan Railroad History Group to store their equipment, including an idler flat car from GTW with a lifeboat from the "Grand Rapids", an ex-C&) NW2 (#5201 I believe) and an ex-PM A900-series caboose. The group equipment has since been scattered, but the depot was dark brick, and at least until the early 1990's (the last time I was in Muskegon) was still standing, a few blocks down and across from the ex-PM depot.
