Hi friends,

I continue to get a tremendous response of support on the Jim Thorpe issue. The local paper picked up my open letter over the weekend, and the e-mail feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. I have been wrapped up in work as of late, but have some calls into to key folks and hope to see some progress.

The Carbon County commissioners and the R&LHS have not replied to me directly, though I know second-hand they have received my open letter. I also now they have recieved e-mail from concerned folks besides myself.

What I can't tell you is whether or not any of this will result in a positive outcome. My fingers are crossed, and as the clock ticks, it becomes ever more important to communicate your concern to the parties involved.

If you want to e-mail your support, you can do so to the following folks:

Carbon Commissioners e-mail: cccommis@ptd.net phone: (570) 325-3611

Times News (Lehighton newspaper) e-mail:jhedes@tnonline.com e-mail:burban@tnonline.com

Allentown Morning Call (Lehighton desk) John Moser e-mail: john.moser@mcall.com

Lackawanna Chapter, R&LHS President Kenneth C. Miller e-mail: hickorycreek13@comcast.net or Ann B. Miller e-mail: amiller156@comcast.net

Please note, these addresses appear on public websites. I am not encouraging use of any contact info not already available online.

Let's keep the heat on!

Rob
