November 13 & 14 will be the last opportunity to ride along the Hiwassee River out of Etowah, Tennessee.

Why? Is this line being ripped up? Another trail lobby victim?

The Etowah to Copperhill line is safe at the moment, but the autumn series of public excursions will end this weekend and the equipment returned to TVRM in Chattanooga. The line may not be in place forever (it was saved from scrapping a couple of years ago) but the current owners have several plans for rehabilitation and utilization. We can only hope they work out and occassional excursions will be offered. Word to the wise: ride now to avoid disappointment.
