Hi Guys,

Bouncing baby flatcar #126 was born to the good folks at the WW&F this past weekend. How a bunch of guys were able to give birth to the thing is a whole other story, but its got couplers so its a boy! Good thing, its going to get put to work as soon as it grows truss rods.

Thanks to videographer Steve Hussar for the birth video.

Sincerest congratulations guys!!!!

Best Regards,
Glenn

Glenn:

Thanks for the video. You guys are doing a great job there at the WW&F!

A couple of questions:

1. How come number 126; is that an historic WW&F number?

2. Did you have WW&F plans, or did you use another WW&F car for the pattern?

Thanks.

Les

Les,

The new flatcar is a reproduction of the same series as flatcar #118, the museum's original WW&F flat. Since the highest number in this series was 125, the new car gets number 126.

According to James P, this is the first new WW&F Ry flatcar built since 1912!

Stephen

PS - Thank you, Margaret :)
