Southeastern Railway Museum is building a Transportation History Wall of Honor and we need YOUR support. Did your dad wear the navy blue conductor's uniform that told the world he was a proud employee of the Seaboard Air Line? Did a relative fire on the Southern, the A & WP, the Central of Georgia or the NYC? Did granddaddy turn the wrenches that kept Pan-Am's China Clipper island-hopping from San Francisco to China or fly the planes for Eastern Airlines? Did your grandmother sell tickets to honeymooners viewing Niagara Falls from the Maid of the Mist? If so, the historians at the Southeastern Railway Museum want to talk to you. The museum is establishing a Wall of Honor dedicated to those who dedicated their working lives to transportation --- rail, air, water, it doesn't matter. We want to honor all the men and women who have dedicated their lives to the transportation industry. The museum, located in Duluth, Georgia is seeking people who would like to sponsor a plaque honoring a family member, friend or co-workers who kept America's trains running, its airplanes aloft and its cars and trucks rolling. The names on the wall will be viewed by thousands of people who come to visit the site, which is Georgia's official transportation history museum. All funds will be used to help our museum meet its mission to preserve transportation history. For more information, call the museum at 770-476-2013.
