It is a fairly sad day in Canada with the loss of a great author and rail historian. Pierre Berton, author of "The National Dream" passed away today at age 84. The National Dream was not only a book, but was also turned into a series by the CBC. Over his years he wrote many railway books, and will be sadly missed. Ken Jones Niagara Falls Railway Museum |
