The above article (link) states that the Lackwanna Chapter of the R&LHS has been in negotiations with Carbon County, PA over the Jim Thorpe assets and has indefinitely post-poned threats of "removal" though they are still leaving that option open.

Hopefully, there is room for an agreement that keeps any efforts to remove the private equipment displayed in Jim Thorpe at bay.

While the situation is not out of the woods by any means, it is certainly a positive step and both parties should be commended for sitting down at the table to talk.
