Not widely reported was the donation last year by BNSF of an SD9 to Minnesota Transportation Museum. This was a former Colorado & Southern unit. It is a late-model SD9, delivered in early 1959, and one of the locomotives that allowed the C&S to finally kill the fires in its last steam engines.
