Hey all,

I'm trying to hunt down some AutoCad drawings of steam whistles, valves and such. I'm not particuraly concerned with what whistle they are drawings of, more interested in how it's all layed out.

I'm not even completely sure these exist, but figured this would be the place to ask.

Any leads would be appreciated!

sorry, but with the usual disclaimer that I have no interest other than bringing the item to the attention of those with similar interest...

hope it gives you a starting place, Tim.

This might help:

Apparently they wanted to build a new whistle, so they took one apart, made drawings and had a new one fabbed. Maybe you could convince them to send you the drawings they made up.

Good luck!

from the above referenced article

Quote:
The new whistle has three chambers, compared to the previous [read original] whistle's one....

... approximating the original whistle's sound was another motivation behind the project, Brown said. (emphasis added)

Gentlemen,

I've begun digging into both leads. My sincere thanks to both of you.
