I apologize if this duplicates something already in Flimsies. Just catching up after working the holidays.

I was just at Edaville yesterday and heard the talk of the derailment. I was told there was a large deposit of ice built up on the rails.

The Hudswell was running great yesterday, and the scenery was as beautiful as ever in the picture-perfect weather. I heard the Hudswell was even running on Friday Night; which wasn't even on the 'steam schedule' if I remember. While it's not what it once was, this is one fine railroad; though I think we'd all like to see the kiddie rides nixed! The last day of the season was today. Trains are running for the next 3 hours, and in addition, the 8PM train will be the last passenger run over Mt. Urann before the tracks are removed to make way for housing. The railroad reopens with a shorter route in the spring.

The ex-Wolfeboro/WK&S 2-6-2 as well as the two 30" gauge lokies were nicely painted and kept up; as a nice tribute to the old static displays of equipment accumulated by Nelson Blount, and later more.
