In the late 80s/early 90s I was the guest of Dave Griner at the Strasburg RR. He was quite knowledgeable and great to talk with about steam. I've tried contacting him lately, but can't find his phone number (even with a valid street address-guess he's unlisted). If anyone is willing to let me know his phone number offline, or can tell me how he's doing, I'd appreciate it. I can be contacted at jcpdeke{nospam}@{nospam}aol.com. Just take out the "nospam". Thanks!

Mr Griner is back at the Strasburg Rail Road, having finished his work with the UP.

Thanks to all of you for the info! Dave and I share a Navy background, so it's good to hear how "Admiral" Griner is doing. I look forward to re-establishing contact with him soon. He was a great source of steam knowledge as well.

John
