Just curious if any of the carhouses of Denver Tramways linked below are still extant. Each photo is captioned as to location. From the ever-useful Dave's Electric Railways site. If you can't it there it probably doesn't exist!

I think the Platte River powerhouse is the one used by the Forney Museum and now by a sporting goods store.

And this one is where I attended The University of Colorado Denver Center or later "at Denver" in 1969 to 1974. If my memory is correct, the barn doors and all the windows in the near part of the building were bricked in and the near two story building became classrooms. The tall multi-story part of the building to the right in the background became the Admin offices and faculty offices. The taller mid point was the atrium between the admin and classroom part of the building. I attended just as they were completing the conversion to a school house. I got watch welders in the street right in front of the barn doors cutting the tram rails with plasma torches.

About 25-28 years ago my brother attended classes for -- I believe -- a term in the former car house. I think he was taking some post graduate class or classes from the University of Colroado after graduating from UC Berkeley in architecture.
