While the subject of "lost locomotives" is on the forefront once again, I was reminded of a subject that came up during 2000 in the UK:

When it was announced that Wembley Stadium was to be demolished in order that it could be rebuilt even larger, the rumor once again arose that there was steam locomotive buried under the playing field. It even made the December, 2000 issue of Heritage Railway:

A representative for the stadium claimed that it was just a (portable?) boiler that was turned over on it's side and buried as part of the construction:

I assume the old stadium is down, and the new stadium is going up; was anything found? A Goggle search didn't review anything.
