Hello,<br> I was wondering if anyone could suggest some good books and videos on steam engines.<br> In particular I am looking for good videos of live steam and a good book or two that has some more technical detail on steam engines ( firing procedure, superheaters, identification and explaination of parts such as injectors, feedwater pumps, stokers, and how they were designed into and used on various engines). Basicly I'm looking for a good technical volume on real steam operations and engine design. Don't hesitate to suggest out of print books, I am willing to search for them. I have really enjoyed the books from the Little River Locomotive Comapny. They publish reprints of old technical manuals and correspondence course books on steam locomotives. Really great stuff. Lots of techincal detail to this novice. Their web site is not working just now, but their phone # is (888) 480-7648.
