Location: Wilton, NY
Chartered train with 2-8-0 15 in Massachusetts, 1973. This was about the last operation of this locomotive.

I believe, and the more learned Steamtown folks can correct me if I'm wrong, the last run of Rahway Valley/Green Mountain/Steamtown RR 15 was on August 11 for Railfan's Day. At least the postcard I have of it on that day states as much.

What was it with the 15? Something Like a tube let go? Dry Pipe failure, something like that IIRC.
