Photos of QJ 2-10-2s and SY 2-8-2s in China are very numerous, but this site has some real nice ones and are worth a look. After all, these guys traveled halfway around the world so we wouldn't have to!

According to reports on Japanese web site today, there are very few
steam trains passing at Jingpeng Pass now.

Daytime between 9 to 11 Jan, only one west bound train which was
departed Daban station at 11:00am on 10 Jan..
Others are all diesel hauled.

Representative of Daban shed said that 10 more diesel expect to be
arrive around the end of this month.
24 diesels at Daban will be quite enough for steams out of the pass.
