Post subject:  Minneapolis & St Louis 2-8-0s

Old and recent photos of 2-8-0 457 now in Mason City, Iowa. Was last used by American Crystal Sugar Co. there. In need of attention, like most park engines.

And here, the 471, when still at a brickyard in Chaska, Minnesota in 1956. Today at Annandale, Minnesota, at an aborted rail private RR museum.

And the "mystery" engine, 452, which was still running at the American Crystal Sugar factory in the late-1950s. Surprisingly, no Twin Cities enthusiasts seem to know just what happened to it, but it was apparently scrapped.
