Slightly off-topic, but here is information on the status of the former Northwestern Steel & Wire steel mill at Sterling, Illinois. This was the last stand of former mainline steam in the US, with ex-GTW 0-8-0s operating into 1980. http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?2,850686 |
