| Post subject: | Lima films |
It was reported to me several months ago that a gentleman in WI had several reels of film shot at Lima during steam days. Upon his death the film was sold at the estate sale to an individual from Australia. If anyone has any info on this they would be willing to share I would greatly appreciate it. I have one short 16mm color reel of two brand new L&N 2-8-4's at the Lima plant. One is in primer and one is partly painted and both are are on the test track, probably under steam for the first time. I tranferred it to DVCAM and will likely use it in our second volume of L&N which I hope to get around to this year. Its stunning footage. -Jim Herron |
