Ed Trip went well no ice but it turned out to be a real nice day. Because there was no ice the layover was a bit to long. But the club had good soup and dogs. We had a good time as always. Al |

Rich: Also to give proper credit. The train ran to Tobyhanna, not to Moscow. The Pocono Mountains Chapter preserves the station in Toby, and is gaining quite a reputation for their culinary skills. Although, on a day with 5-10 degree temps, I guess any soup would taste fantastic. Walking tours of Tobyhanna, along with shuttle busses to the empty Ice House and semi-frozen pond made for quite a visit. There was plenty of time to take in all there was to offer. The ice and snow encrusted tree branches made for great photos. I'm glad Steamtown could provide a train to let people see it. Many pictures are posted at http://Forums.Railfan.net/forums.cgi?bo ... 6;start=20. I hope this is a direct link. If not, check out the message boards at www.railfan.net |

Sorry! Had my groups, stations and even the date wrong. In any event, glad the trip was a success. |
