Post subject:  Cast Iron Mile Marker

A while ago I came across two cast iron mile markers. For the longest time I have had no idea what they are. They are in the shape of a three leaf clover with the number right under the letter M. I have been told that they may be from the old Toledo, St. Louis & Western railroad but I haven't been able to find anything on line in the way of pictures of it so I cannot be sure. Below is a very quick drawing of what they look like and the last time I checked I believe they are M1 and M7 but right now I can't check so I cannot be sure. If anyone has any information about I would love to know what they are.

Sorry for how crude this image is. I did it quickly in paint by hand so that there would be something visual to look at. Thanks for any info that can be provided.
