The cars have different names now and are heated by electricity, not steam. The engines have a single V16 instead of two V12s and there are ditch lights on the lead unit. The track is ex-SP, not UP. But what other US RR has done so well to preserve its heritage as this one? Thanks to Mr. Lee and the boys in Cheyenne, the UP can still put on a good face for the public despite the railroad's numerous other problems caused by shortsighted higher management.
