Chicago, Burlington & Quincy's showpiece 4-4-0 "No. 35", now at the Patte House Museum in St. Joseph, MO.

Looking shiny at Galesburg, IL, May 22, 1938:

At Chicago in 1948, probably at the RR Fair:

Refurbished for display purposes at the Joint Shops (CB&Q/C&S) in Denver in 1932. Original number was Hannibal & St. Joseph 66 , later 666, then CB&Q 359. The 35 number was given in 1932.

As far as I know, this engine never ran under its own power after 1932, but was towed from place to place. Did anyone ever see it run after 1932?

I believe this locomotive was operated at the 1939 fair in Chicago and played the role of Union Pacific's number 119. But I may be wrong about this.

Thanks, Taylor
