I arrived and departed from Indianapolis Union Station in the spring of 1962 on the "James Whitcomb Riley" on a through sleeper off the "George Washington." It was my only pre-Amtrak sleeping car trip, and I still remember the trip and the station fondly. I remember having to climb the stairs to board the train. I'm glad it wasn't bulldozed.<br>
