A recent visitor to Belfast and Unity, Maine found these signs posted on the buildings of the Belfast & Moosehead Lake RR.

Another recent attendee to the Belfast council meeting said no action was taken concerning the railroad, however.

It looks like Railstar really dropped the ball on this one. The folks in Georgetown should really be keeping an eye on this one. The mayor is quoted as saying, "For over two years they didn't just not pay their bills, they also bounced checks, they didn't return phone calls". I do hope for the best, Georgetown was a great operation and I enjoyed the whole town while I was there. The town with a poorly run or not running railroad would be just another place you pass by on I-70.

Maybe it won't work out. But maybe seeing if it does will be the best adventure ever.
