All slicked up, probably just before donation to Burlington, Iowa in 1961. Nice looking Hudson. http://www.railtravelcenter.com/images/351008.jpg |

Ahhh, the S-4 class. One of my favorites. Would sure love to see one of these lovely ladies stretch her legs on a BNSF main one day. Where is that Lotto ticket, anyway? Scott |

That shot was taken in Galesburg in 1958. It was either pulled out for a excursion that came in via the 5632 or it was the excursion engine. Irony is typing this post and sending it on a mouse pad that has the very same shot on it. Both shot are the same person's or they were standing next to each other. I got it at a hobby shot some while back and wish I had bought two. I want to say it is a Jerry Appleman shot. Though I have seen numerous photographs of the engine from various angles in the same place from people that were on that trip. S.A. |
