Willis Goldschmidt, a founding member of the Museum of Transportation in St. Louis passed away last night after extensive heart surgery earlir this month.
Only yesterday, we had glowing reports of his progress, so the news this morning was a shock to us all.
Willis had been an active volunteer for 60 years.
He was a former employee of The St. Louis Public Service Co. the C.B. & Q. Railroad and retired from the B.N. Ry.
His contribution to the Museum was without peer.
