That's good news. Rather than a massive adaptive reuse community museum project, however, I think they'd be better off just restoring it as an enginehouse, which would cost less and be more historic. If nothing else, they could probably lease space to CSRR or private owners who store cars there to keep them out of the weather. This would make the organization a little income, and preserve its historic integrity better than the usual adaptive reuse project. A fire suppression system would be desirable, but if combustible liquids were kept out it would probably be ok without it.

There are plenty of MEC locos, cabooses and stock awaiting preservation that would look great in there. It would be nice to see a little museum there.

What would I suggest for displays??

Well, there are a couple of steel milk cars available in the US. The MEC Beecher Falls milk train was based out of Bartlett. And there are examples of at least 4 different classes of MEC diesels out there, plus cabooses derelict in CT.
