When I was in college, Steamtown occasionally ran Southern Rwy (of England) Schools-class 4-4-0 #926.

I was back in town yesterday and saw another Schools running, this time #901. Of course, she was 45mm gauge.

Which brings me to plug the 45mm live steam display this weekend at the trolley museum next door to Steamtown. It's a bring-your-own-loco event and it was quite fun. One more day to catch it.

I'll write up a full report on the good, bad and ugly I found in my day trip to the Electric City.
