For those of you with a Visitors Center and/or Gift Shop, I was wondering if you either sell Fisher-Price GeoTrax Rail and Road System or provide one in your kids play area. I just saw one for the first time, and little kids seem to really enjoy playing with it. A two year old came crashing into the setup, no problem, snap it back together and off you go again.

I welcome any comments people have on this play system and its viability for kid area use and museum sales. How does it compare with Brio for either kid interest or sales?

I don't run a museum shop, but I did buy some for oldest when she had just turned three. Great, inexpensive toy, almost indestructible. She's four now, and she still loves playing with it. You can keep adding on as much as you want to the layout, and the track and accessories are very cheap. I would recommend it to anyone with young children.

GeoTrax is the best "toy" train ever. We have one for my daughter and it has provided endless hours of fun. The train is reliable and bullet proof. Only problem is the way the starter sets are packaged, they come with 2 left-hand switches which makes for some frustrating operating scenarios. Make sure if you get a set to buy numerous extra track-packs, they are cheap and you will need/want them. Also get rechargeable batteries and a battery charger or it will eat up a lot of batteries. Frustrated modelers with no layout will enjoy the GeoTrax too...hey, it's better then nothing. ;)
