The best she has looked in years, thank you so much for taking the time to find us all of these links Bob! I didn't even know she was all back together again. Now for a challenge, anyone out there know of some photo documentation regarding the extensive firebox/boiler work? Paging Matt Austin. |

That's a slick coat. I've always loves the blue tinge in new black paint as it reflects the blue sky, and a locomotive that is not grey and yellow! |

That last picture is strange, notice that the numberboards are lettered differently on both sides |

I'm just praying they didn't do all that work not to have her and/or 3985 ready for Portland, OR in July! Sorry, but had to squeeze that hope in there! |

Looks like somebody was having a bit of fun with the masking paper. Not only are the number boards different, but neither one says 844 either. One side says 838, the other says 845. I guess the suggestion is that most of the engine is either brand new or scavenged from the 838. |
