Just happened across this news. The state of New Hampshire DOT and NHHPB have given the nascent Bartlett Historical Society a preliminary YES for their unlimited long-term use of the old roundhouse. According to their webpage the first order of business will be to raise money for a new roof.

This is good news. Hopefully fire can be avoided in the meantime. Anyone know when the roundhouse was reduced to four stalls from six? I believe the turntable was removed in the 1920s, when the big 2-6-6-2 articulateds were used through Crawford Notch.
