Shown here well over 20 years old, Reading FP7 900 still looks good at the head of a passenger train in 1975. Restored several years ago, it still looked good last I knew, and was still operable in eastern Pa. Reading was known for good maintenance before its absorbtion into Conrail.

That's Phoenixville PA, not NJ. Engine is WB on the push-pull, from Phila. to Reading, with another FP-7 on the rear, MU'd thru the cars.

RCTHS has the 900 but the engine is not operable, having been in the worst shape of the three preserved. [902 and 903 are operable and are owned by Lancaster and Phila chapters, NRHS, respectively]

Here's a photo of #900 as SEPTA #4371 bringing the push-pull into Reading Terminal on August 20, 1979:
