Brief news from the V&T Modelers list: The contract has been awarded to Granite Construction to fill in the Pit, construction is expected to begin in April. At the last Commission meeting it was ordered to obtain all the property needed to complete to line into Carson City and not wait until "phase I" was completed as was the intent by Carson City's last mayor (the former Commission Chairman)who is no longer on the Commission. A steam locomotive has also been purchased to run on the completed line. We're on our way! |
