Folks,
I hope someone knows the present location of an interesting Industrial Locomotive.

The Worcester Light & Gas Company once owned an 0-4-0 which was purchased by Nelson Blount for his Steamtown collection. It was sold before the collection became part of the National Park Service.

I would like to know the usual things like builder and other data. The story I have is that it was to go to a museum group for free, but Blount got wind of it and insisted to the company Directors that they should sell it to him rather than the non-profit but cash poor museum.

Thanks for your help. TM

Massachusetts Electric Co. No. 1, H.K.Porter c/n
2601, built 2/1902 did make it to Scranton, but was auctioned off prior to the NPS takeover to Donald Neilson of King of Prussia, PA and is displayed at a shopping center there.

Mr Conrad, Thanks for checking! Hope you get time to do another edition of your great book!

Let me add my encouragement as well to J. David Conrad for a new edition of his North American Steam guide. Dave, mine's damn near worn out from use! It is by far one of the most valuable and useful books in my library, and I am very grateful for all of the work that you've put into it.
