The Onion Pacific Railroad announced today because of rising oil prices they want to deconsolidate its smaller RR lines. The results of this will bring back RR company names like Missouri Pacific and Southern Pacific. Another byproduct of this action will cause the phasing out of oil as an exclusive fuel and institute new energy sources like hydrogen, solar, and coal. OP also announced that the new Southern Pacific will be contacting several cities which have SP steam locomotives in parks and make arrangements to transfer ownership back to the railroad and ultimately back into service.
