TRAINS Magazine announced today it will publish its second All-Cow issue. The first had been published years ago under Editor David P. Morgan.

A spokesperson for the magazine said the decision came from the positive feedback from the two-page photo spread in April, 2005 TRAINS of four cattle in a barnyard scene with WMSR 734 in the background.

The magazine is especially seeking photos of bovines in pastoral or barnyard settings with rail activities.

I had to shoo cows off the track of the Graham County RR more than once, and I recall the Cumbres & Toltec making an emergency stop when several cows attempted to share the right-of-way with #487. Cows indeed!

That is Carlos "Twinky" Llamas in the hot seat of #484 last September.

My question is this: Are the editors of Trains looking for photos of EMD Cow and Calf locomotives in pastoral settings? Seems like I'd get double credit for the all cow issue.
