It is unfortunate that every time someone mentions Steamtown people feel the need to belittle place. While we are at it why don't we mention the Cranbrook museum who doesn't have the resources to get 2929 back? Or ExpoRail where they have 2928 which isn't in great shape either and have other engines that are in the same shape (or worse!) the rolling stock in Scranton. C'mon. Criticism aside, those Jubilees are nice little engines. Too bad they are only suited for light and fast running. Joshua |

I'll bet they were gems to fire; a big firebox to burn lump coal (no stoker to crush it into fines) and not enough tractive effort to overload the boiler. |
